Magnolia Town is located on the southern most part of the country Fiore, it is also home to the Fairy Tail Guild. It has a population of 60,000 inhabitants and is a merchant city that has been prosperous in magic since the ancient era.

Gildarts Shift

Magnolia Town has rebuilt the entire town to accommodate Gildarts Clive because of his absent mindedness. This rebuild is called the "Gildarts Shift", where the town completely shifts to form a single straight road to the guild so that Gildarts won't accidently destroy private homes.
